Inside the Service

Our worship follows a sacred rhythm - a conversation between God and His people. God calls us, speaks to us through His Word, and sends us out with His blessing. We respond with praise, prayer, confession, and faith. Worship is a participatory act of love and reverence, centered on Christ and shaped by Scripture. Below is what you can expect in a typical service at Faith Community Church.

What to Expect

God speaks first, calling us into His presence and greeting us with words of grace and peace from Scripture. Worship begins with His invitation and welcome.

We respond in praise, lifting our voices together in songs that glorify God and express our joy in HIm.

We speak honestly to God, confession our sin. Then we hear His gracious Word of forgiveness - a reminder of the gospel's power.

In response to God's mercy we affirm our shared faith through Scirpture or creeds and sing of the hope we have in Christ.

In response to God's generosity, we give - not out of obligation, but as an act of worship.

Visitors are welcome to simply observe.

Together, we hide God's Word in our hearts and pray as a congregation. This verse helps lead us into a time of congregational prayer.

God speaks to us through the reading and proclamation of His Word. The sermon explains the passage, pointing us to Christ and applying the truth to our lives.

After hearing God's Word, we respond with prayer and a song - asking for His help to live it out and expressing our trust and joy in Christ.

At the Lord's Table, God nourishes us with Christ Himself. As we eat and drink in faith, we remember His sacrifice, proclaim His death, and are strengthened in unity. We partake every second month.

God has the final word. He sends out with a Scriptural blessing - a reminder that we go into the world with His presence and peace.

We leave worship singing together, encouraged to live out our faith in the week ahead.
